What Noble Mobile said
The release says existing SmartLess customers “will retain their current plan pricing.” They also get access to Noble’s nationwide 5G coverage, its customer support and its screen-time tools.
Noble pays members cash back for using their phones less. The release says members can earn up to $20 a month, and that the cash back grows 5.5% a year. The Noble app also scores daily phone habits with a “Brain Rot Index.” Family plans add monthly leaderboards.
Andrew Yang said in the release: “We don’t want your life spent looking down at a screen—we want to pay you to live it.”
SmartLess CEO Paul McAleese said Yang approached the company “this summer” and that the deal gives both businesses more scale.
The release does not list new plan prices. It also does not say when SmartLess accounts move to Noble, or whether the SmartLess name will stay.
What to do now if you use SmartLess Mobile
- Do nothing yet. Your plan price stays the same, per the release. Watch for an email or text from SmartLess or Noble with any steps.
- Save your account details. Write down your account number and current plan now. You may need them if your account moves to a new system.
- Treat unexpected texts with care. Mergers bring scam messages. Only follow steps that come from the official SmartLess or Noble website or app.
- If you want to leave instead, request a transfer PIN from your carrier first. See our transfer PIN lookup. If a new carrier rejects the port, use port-out rejected fixes.
- Check the network. Because service stays on T-Mobile, phones that work on SmartLess today should keep working. Our carrier network list shows which network each brand uses. For Noble’s other brand, see Helium Mobile.
How the SmartLess Mobile deal fits Noble’s plans
This is Noble’s second purchase of 2026. In June it bought Helium Mobile. Noble says it plans to use the Helium Network to add coverage for members. The release gives no date for that.
SmartLess launched in June 2025 with plans that started at $15 a month for 5GB, Fierce Network reported at the time. It was one of several celebrity-backed brands on the T-Mobile network.
