Why it matters
To keep your phone number when you leave any carrier, the new carrier needs your old account number and a transfer PIN. If a customer cannot find them, the switch stalls, and a customer who cancels first can lose the number.

- Do not cancel your old service until the new carrier confirms your number has moved.
Method
Source: Google Search Console for bestcellular.com, January 1 to October 17, 2026, pulled October 19, 2026. Included: search phrases containing “us cellular”, “uscellular”, “uscc” or “u.s. cellular” as a whole word. Page Plus Cellular searches are excluded. Each phrase was sorted into one group by keyword, checked in the order shown in the table. “Times shown” means Google search impressions: how many times Google showed a BestCellular.com page for that search. It is not a count of people, and one person can search more than once. Google does not report very rare searches, so the true totals are higher.
