Here is how to get your T-Mobile Prepaid account number and transfer PIN, and what to do with them when you move your number to another carrier.
Account Number
T-Mobile says your account number is located on your T-Mobile account or bill. Sign in at T-Mobile.com to see it. If you cannot find it, call T-Mobile at 1-800-937-8997, the number T-Mobile lists for help getting a transfer PIN.
Transfer PIN
Log in to T-Mobile.com, choose My T-Mobile, then My Profile. On Manage Profile, choose Request Transfer PIN, then Get a Transfer PIN. The Temporary Port Out PIN displays on screen. Turn off Port Out Protection first. Only the Primary Account Holder can generate it.

T-Mobile Prepaid Porting Instructions
Your 11 digit phone number (1-***-***-****) is the account number for T-Mobile Prepaid. The passcode is your 4-digit PIN (the same PIN used when calling customer service). If you don’t have a PIN you can set one up by calling 611 from your T-Mobile phone. Respond “No” when asked if you want to refill and then choose “Manage my account” followed by “Change my account PIN”. If you forgot your PIN number or need other help call the porting department.

Check coverage before you port
T-Mobile Prepaid runs on the T-Mobile network, so the coverage you get at your address is T-Mobile coverage. Check it on T-Mobile’s own coverage map before you start the transfer.

Can I keep my phone number when I leave T-Mobile Prepaid?
Yes. Federal number portability rules let you take a working number to a new carrier. T-Mobile Prepaid cannot refuse the transfer or charge you to release the number.
Should I cancel T-Mobile Prepaid before I port my number out?
No. Cancel first and the number is released, which ends your right to move it. Keep the T-Mobile Prepaid line active until the new carrier confirms the port completed.
