Here is how to get your Wing account number and transfer PIN, and what to do with them when you move your number to another carrier. Wing runs its service from WingAlpha.com, so many people search for it as Wing Alpha.

Account Number

Wing does not show the account number in a published self-service location. Call Wing at 1-888-800-9921 to get your account number. For porting, use option 5 at the same number.

Transfer PIN

Your Wing transfer PIN is the 4-digit PIN you chose at signup. If you forgot it, call Wing at 1-888-800-9921, option 5. Expiry is not published.

Host network: Wing sells service on Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T. Your line runs on one of them, depending on your plan. Find out which one before you switch, then check your phone’s IMEI with the new carrier. Wing does not lock the phones it sells.

What network does Wing use?

Wing sells service on Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T. Which network your line uses depends on your plan. Wing’s own website shows only AT&T today.

Does Wing lock its phones?

No. Wing does not lock the phones it sells. Phones can be financed through a third-party lender such as Affirm, so ask Wing whether a financed phone carries any restriction before you switch.

Does Wing support eSIM?

Business lines

Wing assigns business accounts a dedicated account rep who handles activation for multiple lines. Start from the business contact option on WingAlpha.com.

Check coverage before you port

Wing sells service on Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T, so the coverage you get depends on which network your line uses. Check that network’s map at your address before you start the transfer: Verizon, T-Mobile or AT&T.

Your right to keep the number is federal, not a carrier policy. The rule is the FCC’s: Portability: Keeping Your Phone Number When Changing Service Providers.

Questions about Wing

Can I keep my phone number when I leave Wing?

Yes. Federal number portability rules let you take a working number to a new carrier. Wing cannot refuse the transfer or charge you to release the number.

Should I cancel Wing before I port my number out?

No. Cancel first and the number is released, which ends your right to move it. Keep the Wing line active until the new carrier confirms the port completed.

How long does a port out from Wing take?

A simple wireless transfer usually completes within one business day once the new carrier submits the correct Wing account number and transfer PIN.

Does Wing run on its own towers?

No. Wing is a reseller (an MVNO). It sells service on Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T, and your plan decides which network your line uses.
