Access Wireless Account Number & PIN: Accurate 2026

Here is how to get your Access Wireless account number and transfer PIN, and what to do with them when you move your number to another carrier.

Account Number

Access Wireless does not publish where your account number appears. To get it, call 1-866-594-3644, Monday to Saturday 10 AM to 10 PM and Sunday 10 AM to 7 PM Eastern, and ask for the account number used for a number transfer. A Lifeline line ports like any other once you have it; the phone number itself is not the account number.

Transfer PIN

Ask the same agent for a transfer PIN. Access Wireless publishes no self-service path for it. Keep the line active until the new carrier confirms the number has moved. The Lifeline benefit transfers to the new carrier separately, through the National Verifier, not with the number.

Porting the number and moving the Lifeline benefit are two different steps. The number moves with the account number and transfer PIN. The Lifeline discount moves only when the new carrier enrolls you through the National Verifier, and only one carrier can hold it at a time.

Access Wireless runs on T-Mobile

Access Wireless is the Lifeline brand of i-wireless, LLC, the Kroger-founded company whose prepaid brand, Kroger Wireless, states that it provides service “via the T-Mobile Network.” i-wireless combined its Lifeline business with Sprint’s Assurance Wireless in 2016 and stayed on Sprint’s network, which became T-Mobile’s in 2020.

A phone that worked on Access Wireless is T-Mobile-compatible, so T-Mobile itself and any T-Mobile-based carrier will almost certainly take it. Moving to a carrier on another network is a different question. Check your IMEI against that carrier’s compatible device list before you start the transfer.

Who runs Access Wireless

Access Wireless is operated by i-wireless, LLC, doing business as Access Wireless, and offers free Lifeline service to qualifying customers with paid add-ons for extra airtime. It publishes separate numbers for new and existing customers, a chat assistant on its site, and the 611 shortcut from an Access Wireless phone.

Access Wireless Contact Info

  • Existing customers: 1-866-594-3644, or dial 611 from an Access Wireless phone
  • New customers: 1-888-900-5899
  • Hours: Monday to Saturday 10 AM to 10 PM, Sunday 10 AM to 7 PM Eastern

How to port your number away from Access Wireless

  1. Keep the line active. Lifeline lines are deactivated for non-usage; make a call or send a text before you start so the line is live.
  2. Call 1-866-594-3644 and ask for your account number and transfer PIN. Say that you are porting the number to another carrier.
  3. Give the new carrier the account number, the transfer PIN, the zip code on the account, and the account holder’s name exactly as Access Wireless has it.
  4. Re-enroll the Lifeline benefit with the new carrier through the National Verifier if you want to keep the discount; the number port does not carry it.

Why a Access Wireless port gets rejected

The usual cause is a transfer PIN that was never issued or an account name that differs from the one on file. The Lifeline-specific cause is a line deactivated for non-usage before the port was submitted; a deactivated line has no number to release. Confirm the line is active and the details match, then resubmit.

Access Wireless port-out questions

What network does Access Wireless use?

T-Mobile. Access Wireless does not name it on its own site; the i-wireless company that runs it states T-Mobile for its Kroger Wireless brand, and its Lifeline business stayed on Sprint’s network, now T-Mobile’s.

Where do I get the account number and transfer PIN?

From 1-866-594-3644. Access Wireless publishes no self-service path for them.

Does my Lifeline benefit move with my number?

No. The number ports with the account number and PIN; the benefit moves only when the new carrier enrolls you through the National Verifier.

Can I keep my number if I leave Access Wireless?

Yes. Federal rules require the carrier to release it. Keep the line active, get the account number and PIN, and let the new carrier start the port.

Does BestCellular.com list Access Wireless as an active carrier?

Yes. Access Wireless sells service today, so it counts toward the active total in our carrier dataset.
