Reach Mobile no longer sells wireless service to consumers. Its website says the Reach service ended August 18, 2026 and sends customers to Slate Mobile; the company behind it now sells its platform to cable operators instead.
Reach Mobile is gone
reachmobile.com now opens on a notice headed “Reach Mobile is now Slate Mobile” with the line “Your Reach service ends August 18, 2026. Switch by then to keep your number.” That date has passed. Reach Mobile ran as a consumer MVNO from late 2018, on AT&T and Verizon at first and on T-Mobile alone from early 2022.
If you had a Reach Mobile line
If you switched before the deadline, your number now sits with Slate Mobile, which is provided by That’s My Mobile. To port it, contact Slate support for the account number and transfer PIN; a Reach account number or PIN no longer applies. The Slate Mobile page has the current steps. If you never switched, run the number through a carrier lookup to see whether it was released.
How Reach Mobile ended
- 2018: Reach Mobile launched as a prepaid MVNO on AT&T and Verizon, with a pledge to fund connectivity for women in need for every plan sold.
- November 2019: Reach stopped new activations on AT&T.
- Early 2022: Reach dropped Verizon and became a T-Mobile-only MVNO; the same year it raised $16 million to sell its Reach Next platform to other companies and began powering WOW! Mobile.
- August 18, 2026: Reach consumer service ended; the Reach website now directs customers to Slate Mobile.
The history of Reach Mobile
Reach Mobile started in 2018 as a consumer carrier with a cause: part of every plan funded free data for women in need. It never owned towers. It resold AT&T and Verizon, then Verizon and T-Mobile, then only T-Mobile. Around 2022 the company, led by CEO Harjot Saluja, turned its billing and activation stack into a product called Reach Next and sold it to cable operators; WOW! Mobile launched on it, and a 2023 NCTC deal opened it to hundreds more. The Reach Mobile consumer brand ran on the side until 2026, when its subscribers were handed to Slate Mobile and August 18, 2026 became the last day of Reach service.
How to find who holds an old number now
- Check an old bill or payment record. It names the company that billed you last.
- Run the number through a carrier lookup tool. It shows the carrier that holds the number today.
- Call that carrier and ask for the account number and transfer PIN.
- Start the port from the new carrier. Never cancel the old line first.
Your right to keep a number
Number portability is federal law, not a carrier policy. The rule is the FCC’s: Portability: Keeping Your Phone Number When Changing Service Providers.

How we verified Reach Mobile
Best Cellular tracks active carriers and defunct ones. We keep both, because people still search for brands that no longer exist. Every fact on this Reach Mobile page comes from at least two independent sources, listed below, and we leave a detail out when no source states it. Where sources disagree, this page says so. If you can document a correction, tell us and we will check it against the sources.
Tracked and active are different counts on this site. Reach Mobile counts in our tracked total, not in our active total, so it does not appear in tools built for live carriers.
