Here is how to get your WOW! Mobile account number and transfer PIN, and what to do with them when you move your number to another carrier.
Account Number
WOW! Mobile does not show the account number in your account. Call WOW! support at 1-866-496-9669 and ask for the account number used for a number transfer. Your WOW! Internet account number, the one on the bill, is not it: WOW! states that the mobile service is provided by Reach Mobile under a separate agreement, so the mobile account is a separate record.
Transfer PIN
Ask the same agent for a transfer PIN. WOW! publishes no self-service path for it. Request the account number and PIN together, write both down, and keep the WOW! Mobile line active until the new carrier confirms the number has moved.
Which network WOW! Mobile uses
WOW! describes the coverage as “a reliable 5G nationwide network” and “the nation’s largest and fastest 5G network” without naming the carrier. Reach Mobile, which provides the service, resells more than one national network to its cable partners and does not say which one WOW! lines use. We do not guess, so this record is classified as host network not recorded. If you are leaving, dial *#06# for the IMEI and run it through the destination carrier’s compatibility check.
Who runs WOW! Mobile
WOW! Internet, Cable & Phone (WideOpenWest) sells WOW! Mobile as a bundle to its residential internet customers in the Midwest and Southeast. The wireless service itself is operated by Reach Mobile on WOW!’s behalf, which is the same model Reach runs for several other cable companies. Plans are no-contract and billed per line.

How to port your number away from WOW! Mobile
- Keep the line active. Do not cancel WOW! Mobile before the port completes.
- Call 1-866-496-9669, ask for mobile support, and request your account number and transfer PIN. Say that you are porting the number to another carrier.
- Give the new carrier the account number, the transfer PIN, the zip code on the WOW! Mobile account, and the account holder’s name exactly as WOW! has it.
- Wait for the new SIM to activate. The WOW! Mobile line ends once the number moves; check that the mobile charge drops off your WOW! bill.
Why a WOW! Mobile port gets rejected
The common cause is the WOW! Internet account number submitted in place of the mobile account number, followed by a transfer PIN that was never issued. Call support, have the agent confirm both, and resubmit with the name and zip code exactly as they appear on the mobile account.
