There is no transfer PIN to request. PTel no longer operates.
PTel shut down on January 30, 2016. It was a T-Mobile MVNO and it also ran the GIV Mobile brand. Customers had until early February 2016 to move their numbers; numbers that were not ported by then were released. There is no PTel account to port out of today. What follows is kept as a record of how the service worked.

PTel was previously PlatinumTel
Same company, two eras, two networks. PTel Mobile opened in 2001 as a Sprint MVNO trading as PlatinumTel. In December 2012 it dropped Sprint for T-Mobile and rebranded to PTel. The service shut down on January 30, 2016.

PTel Porting Instructions
PTel account number is the phone number. The passcode is your 4-digit account PIN which was found by logging in to My Account on Ptel.com and clicking Account Details, or by calling PTel. Both are gone.
PTel is now out of business. The customer service is unattended and there is no way to speak with an operator.

Where a former PTel number is now
PTel ran on the T-Mobile network. It moved from Sprint to T-Mobile in December 2012 and shut down on January 30, 2016. If you kept the number, it belongs to whichever carrier you ported it to at the time — look that carrier up in the database for its account number and transfer PIN.
Your right to keep the number is federal, not a carrier policy. The rule is the FCC’s: Portability: Keeping Your Phone Number When Changing Service Providers.

Is PTel still in service?
No. PTel no longer operates as a carrier — the service was shut down.
Can I still get an account number and transfer PIN from PTel?
No. There is no PTel support line to call. If the number still works, it belongs to whichever carrier took the account over, and you request the transfer details from them.
What happened to PTel phone numbers?
A number that was still active when the account transferred stayed with the new carrier. A number on a cancelled account was released back into the pool and cannot be recovered.
Can I get a PTel number reassigned to me?
No. Once a number is released it goes back into the general pool and is reassigned at random. There is no way to request a specific retired number.
