Account Number
ASTAC does not publish where to find your account number for porting. Your bill is managed at the Pay My Bill portal. Call the ASTAC Customer Experience Team at 1-800-478-6409 and ask for your account number.
Transfer PIN
ASTAC sets up a CPNI PIN with you when you join, with your ASTAC representative. ASTAC does not publish a separate port-out PIN process. Call 1-800-478-6409 and ask what PIN your new carrier needs.

What network does ASTAC use?
ASTAC runs on the AT&T network.
ASTAC Porting Instructions
ASTAC offers an online portal called “Smart Hub.” The ASTAC Smart Hub has to be set up manually in one of their retail stores. Payment history, usage history, and account info including the account number can be viewed on the portal (although account number has to be viewed on a PDF file, not on the customer’s dashboard). Account number and correct billing zip code are required to port out of ASTAC.
ASTAC is a rural carrier out of Alaska with roaming available on the AT&T network.
Check coverage before you port
ASTAC runs on the AT&T network, so the coverage you get at your address is AT&T coverage. Check it on AT&T’s own coverage map before you start the transfer.

Questions about ASTAC
Can I keep my phone number when I leave ASTAC?
Yes. Federal number portability rules let you take a working number to a new carrier. ASTAC cannot refuse the transfer or charge you to release the number.
Should I cancel ASTAC before I port my number out?
No. Cancel first and the number is released, which ends your right to move it. Keep the ASTAC line active until the new carrier confirms the port completed.
How long does a port out from ASTAC take?
A simple wireless transfer usually completes within one business day once the new carrier submits the correct ASTAC account number and transfer PIN.
Does ASTAC run on its own towers?
No. ASTAC is a reseller riding on the AT&T network.
