Charity Mobile does not publish where your account number appears. Call 1-877-474-3662, weekdays 9 AM to 7 PM or Saturday 9 AM to 3 PM Eastern, or email [email protected], and ask for the account number used for a number transfer. The phone number on the line is not the account number.
Transfer PIN
Ask the same agent for a Transfer PIN. Charity Mobile uses that term on its own porting page, where it lists “the Transfer PIN assigned by your current provider for porting purposes” as a required item for switchers; the same item is what a new carrier needs from Charity Mobile. Keep the line active until the number moves.
Which network Charity Mobile uses
Charity Mobile describes its coverage as “America’s most reliable network” without naming the carrier. We do not guess, so this record is classified as host network not recorded until Charity Mobile publishes it. If you are leaving, dial *#06# for the IMEI and run it through the destination carrier’s compatibility check.
Who runs Charity Mobile
Charity Mobile is operated by Cause Based Commerce Inc. and sells no-contract plans on the promise that a share of each bill goes to a charity the customer chooses from its list. How to port your number away from Charity Mobile
- Keep the line active. Do not cancel Charity Mobile before the port completes.
- Call 1-877-474-3662 or email support and ask for your account number and Transfer PIN. Say that you are porting the number to another carrier.
- Give the new carrier the account number, the Transfer PIN, the billing zip code, and the account name exactly as it appears on your Charity Mobile bill.
- Wait for the new SIM to activate. The Charity Mobile line ends once the number moves; confirm the termination with support so no further charge posts.
Why a Charity Mobile port gets rejected
The usual cause is a mismatch between the account name or zip code and what Charity Mobile has on the bill, or a Transfer PIN that was never issued. Call support, have the agent read back all four items, and resubmit.
