NOW Mobile Account Number & PIN: Accurate 2026

NOW Mobile, Comcast’s prepaid brand, issues the account number and transfer PIN only through a NOW app chat. It runs on Verizon’s network and is managed entirely in the app.

Here is how to get your NOW Mobile account number and transfer PIN, and what to do with them when you move your number to another carrier.

Account Number

NOW Mobile is Comcast’s prepaid brand, run from the NOW app rather than an Xfinity account. Comcast does not publish where the NOW Mobile account number appears, so open a chat in the NOW app and ask for your account number for a number transfer. The phone number itself is not the account number.

Transfer PIN

Ask for the number transfer PIN in the same chat. Comcast’s Xfinity Mobile sister service issues a transfer PIN only on request and only to the account holder, and NOW Mobile follows the same rule. Keep the NOW Mobile line active until the port completes.

NOW Mobile is not Xfinity Mobile. Both are Comcast brands on the same network, but NOW Mobile is prepaid, sold in Comcast service areas, and managed in the NOW app. An Xfinity Mobile transfer PIN does not work for a NOW Mobile line, and Xfinity Mobile account numbers do not apply.

NOW Mobile runs on Verizon

Comcast launched the NOW brand on April 17, 2024, describing NOW Mobile as a prepaid service with unlimited 5G data “backed by the powerful Xfinity network and the most reliable 5G.” The 5G network behind that sentence is Verizon’s: Comcast’s mobile services, Xfinity Mobile and NOW Mobile, ride Verizon’s network under Comcast’s long-standing wholesale agreement, with Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspots carrying data where one is in range.

A phone that worked on NOW Mobile is Verizon-compatible, so Verizon itself and any Verizon-based carrier will almost certainly take it. Moving to a carrier on AT&T’s or T-Mobile’s network is a different question. Check your IMEI against that carrier’s compatible device list before you start the transfer.

Who runs NOW Mobile

NOW Mobile is a Comcast product sold under the NOW brand alongside NOW Internet and NOW TV. It launched with trials in Hartford–New Haven, Houston and Miami before a national rollout across Comcast service areas, and it is sold with all-in pricing, no contract and no credit check. Customers sign up, pause and cancel in the NOW app.

NOW Mobile Contact Info

  • Chat: inside the NOW app, which is the support channel Comcast publishes for NOW customers
  • Website: xfinity.com/now
  • Phone: Comcast publishes no NOW Mobile-specific care number. Anyone who calls you claiming to be NOW Mobile and asks for a PIN is not Comcast.

How to port your number away from NOW Mobile

  1. Keep the line active. Do not cancel or pause the NOW Mobile line in the app before the port finishes.
  2. Open a chat in the NOW app and ask for your account number and a number transfer PIN. Say that you are porting the number to another carrier.
  3. Give the new carrier three things: the account number, the transfer PIN, and the zip code on the NOW account, with the name exactly as Comcast has it.
  4. Wait for the new SIM to activate. Once the number moves, the NOW Mobile line ends; check the app so you are not billed for another cycle.

Why a NOW Mobile port gets rejected

The usual cause is submitting the phone number as the account number, or using an Xfinity Mobile PIN on a NOW line. Ask the NOW chat agent to read back the account number and issue a fresh transfer PIN, then resubmit with the name and zip code exactly as they have them.

NOW Mobile port-out questions

What network does NOW Mobile use?

Verizon’s, plus Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspots for data. Comcast describes it as “the most reliable 5G” without naming Verizon; the wholesale agreement behind Xfinity Mobile and NOW Mobile is public record.

Is a NOW Mobile account number the same as my Xfinity account?

No. NOW Mobile is a separate prepaid product managed in the NOW app. Ask the NOW chat agent for the mobile account number used for transfers.

Can I keep my NOW Mobile number when I leave?

Yes. Federal rules require Comcast to release it. Keep the line active, get the account number and transfer PIN, and let the new carrier start the port.

Where do I get the NOW Mobile transfer PIN?

From a NOW app chat agent, on request, to the account holder. It is not shown in the app by default.

Does BestCellular.com list NOW Mobile as an active carrier?

Yes. NOW Mobile sells service today, so it counts toward the active total in our carrier dataset, and its line ports from Verizon.
