FairPoint Communications

FairPoint Communications does not require a password by default (unless customer manually sets a password for account security). If there was a password set by customer, you will need to verify that the password matches before submitting port request. Because FairPoint Communications does not require a password, you can use, “0000” if the receiving carrier needs a PIN or password to port the number in.

FamilyTalk Wireless

Walmart Family Talk Wireless customer service said, “We will need the first name & last name as well as the customer email and mailing address registered. To port a number away from Family Talk Wireless, you will need the account number and also a contact phone number.” The rep declined to tell me if there was a Family Talk password or PIN number but a Family Talk Wireless customer could probably get this information pretty easy if you call their customer service number.

MTA Solutions

MTA Solutions only Ports in mobile numbers with a local area code (907), but will Port out to any carrier. A customer looking to Port needs to call in with their phone number in order to get their account number and PIN.

MobileNation

You will need your account number and PIN to port your number away from MobileNation. You will also need the name on the account, address, and the last 4-digits of your SSN. MobileNation does not have PIN numbers on file from the customer service view so the member would need to get their account number and they can find that on their online account.

Google Voice

To port out of Google Voice, go to: https://www.google.com/voice/unlock to unlock your number. Google Voice account numbers are the 10-digit phone number. Your Google Voice passcode is the last 4 digits of the phone number, unless you changed it to something else. customers full name and address must match. It will take 4 to 7 business days for Google Voice to complete your port request. They charge a $3 fee to port from Google Voice if the number wasn’t originally ported into Google Voice from a different carrier.
