Questions about Nation PCS
Can I keep my phone number when I leave Nation PCS?
Yes. Federal number portability rules let you take a working number to a new carrier. Nation PCS cannot refuse the transfer or charge you to release the number.
Should I cancel Nation PCS before I port my number out?
No. Cancel first and the number is released, which ends your right to move it. Keep the Nation PCS line active until the new carrier confirms the port completed.
How long does a port out from Nation PCS take?
A simple wireless transfer usually completes within one business day once the new carrier submits the correct Nation PCS account number and transfer PIN.
Does Nation PCS run on its own towers?
Not confirmed. Nation PCS has not published which host network carries its traffic.
Does Nation PCS charge a fee to release my number?
No. A carrier cannot bill you for porting a number out. You may still owe a final bill or an unpaid device balance, and that is separate from the transfer itself.
What happens if the Nation PCS account number is wrong?
The port request is rejected and the new carrier resubmits it. The number stays on Nation PCS in the meantime, so nothing is lost — it only costs time.

Can I port a Nation PCS number to a landline or VoIP service?
